The Dragon School in Oxford, undertook a programme of refurbishments of various building assets and facilities, and CPC was commissioned to provide Project management support from June 2022 through to September 2023.
The first phase of works consisted of three boarding houses, and the refurbishment of the main kitchen and dining hall. The second phase was the refurbishment of a grade 2 listed house, for the deputy school head’s residence. The third phase was for further boarding house and house parent accommodation refurbishments

CPC were employed from the start of the main works contract, as project managers and contract administrator, responsible for main contractor management, project cost, and scope, programme control, quality control and stakeholder liaison. An architect was employed for the deputy head residence for oversight of listed building works.
On all other phases CPC undertook multiple roles and worked closely with the Estates team responsible for maintenance and direct instal works. Two separate JCT MW contracts were entered into for the Boarding house refurbishments in 2022 and 2023, while a RIBA form was used on the 2 Cherwell house refurbishment.
The role provided a vital link between the Estates facilities manager, maintenance team, direct contractors, and School staff / House parents, and the Main contractor.
