As part of University College London’s (UCL) Sustainability Strategy 2021 – 2024, CPC has been appointed to support the delivery of the University’s 2020 Cycle Parking Strategy. The project, designed as a viable alternative to public transport, will provide facilities to accommodate both students and staff across its entire Estate.
CPC will support the development of the scope and brief; oversee planning and procurement processes; manage project costs throughout and act as Employer’s Agent during the Construction phase to deliver this project across multiple sites.
When complete in 2022, UCL’s cycle parking provision will have increased to exceed 1300 spaces to meet growing demand amongst its community to make ‘healthy and active travel choices’.
Richard Wood, CPC Associate Partner said “This exciting project represents the first contract award for CPC from our recent appointment to UCL’s Building Surveying Framework.
Our multi-disciplinary team’s results-driven approach and experience in project delivery, cost management, and stakeholder engagement will ensure that UCL can deliver it’s cycle parking needs, as a vital component to the University’s wider carbon neutral and biodiversity objectives.”
