Leeds College of Building
We initially provided a five year property strategy to support the Colleges successful funding application. Once funding had been confirmed, the College appointed CPC as their Project Manager to deliver this project.
This new facility comprised of 5,200m² of teaching space, including classrooms and workshops with a central glazed atrium joining the two together. On completion, the facility will provide a range of advanced and higher apprenticeships in engineering services.
We both appointed and managed a full design team, managing the various stakeholders to ensure their requirements were incorporated into the design. A change control process was implemented to ensure that any changes were clearly understood and agreed prior to them being included. CPC managed value engineering to ensure that costs remained within budget whilst maintaining quality requirements.

The project incorporated BIM level 2 and achieved BREEAM excellent as it brought together heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning into a single campus using Air Source Heat Pumps and Photovoltaics.
The facility officially opened on 2 July 2019.
