CPC-sponsored YRP Dinner & Awards is back for 2022

One of the largest black-tie events in the rail calendar, specifically for young professionals and their companies, is back as a face-to-face event in 2022.

CPC is sponsoring the event, which is organised by Young Rail Professionals (YRP), a not-for-profit organisation that supports those developing their careers in the rail sector.

The dinner and awards ceremony will take place on 21 April 2022 at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. Mark Thurston, CEO, HS2, is confirmed as this year’s keynote speaker and will be joined by over 400+ rail professionals.

The event will celebrate the achievements of those dedicated to the rail industry including the work of YRP, its members and the wider rail network, and is a chance for professionals at all levels to network and make new connections.

Submitting an entry for an award is free and will honour a Young Professional of the Year, Apprentice of the Year and Mentor of the Year.

Steve Mole, CPC Managing Partner said “The global pandemic has had a significant impact on those working within the rail industry, presenting a particular challenge for mentors, apprentices and young professionals to meet their ambitions.

This is CPC’s tenth consecutive year of sponsoring YRP’s annual Dinner & Awards, which stands out as a thoroughly entertaining evening to socialise and connect face-to-face with rail colleagues.  It also acts as a reminder of the importance of our continued commitment to take the extra steps needed to nurture, develop and invest in our young talent in a post-pandemic environment.”
