CPC retains Top 10 ranking in Building’s Top Consultants survey

In its latest issue, Building Magazine has published its annual ‘Top 150 Consultants’ survey for 2021.  CPC is delighted to be recognised as the 8th largest project management consultancy in the UK and the highest ranked SME consultancy, overall.

With 350 consultancy firms contacted across the UK, the survey provides an insight into the how the UK consultancy market has fared over the last 12 months.

CPC’s response has mirrored the majority of UK consultants, including these highlights:

  • Over 90% of respondents reported an increase in staff levels compared to 69% in 2019, when the survey was last conducted.
  • 68% of respondents were ‘optimistic’ about the economic outlook for UK consultancy compared to 19% in 2019.
  • 79% are now encouraging their staff to work from home.

Steve Mole, CPC Managing Partner said “We’re delighted to see Building’s Top 150 Consultants survey back after its 2020 hiatus.  It’s been a challenging couple of years for our industry, especially with the uncertainty at the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic and the remaining challenges of skills shortages and rising construction costs and availability.

However, consultancies in the UK, have good reason to be optimistic about the future.  For CPC, 2021 has been a very positive year so far.  We’ve increased our staffing levels by over 20% in this period, attracting consultants that want to be part of our future.

Ultimately, our ongoing success is a testament to the hard work our people. Our improved rankings in this year’s survey reflect the efforts of everyone in our business over the past 2 years.”
