What is your current role?
I am an Assistant Project Manager. I am responsible for the delivery of a design and build project extending a retail unit in one of London’s major railway stations. I also provide client-side support assisting my client with project and programme management.
What do you like most about working at CPC?
I like that I am able to reach into CPC’s huge resource pool for advice and assistance, especially when challenging situations arise.
How did you get started?
I started my career working as a railway designer, delivering station, depot, and conductor rail designs. After some time in design, I was ready for a new challenge and started a new role as an APM delivering utilities enabling work packages for a major railway project.
What achievements are you most proud of, since joining CPC?
I am really proud of signing on a Principal Contract for a £1.2m design and build project – moving it across a key milestone in its lifecycle.
What’s your biggest career lesson learnt to date?
Building strong working relationships with the people around you is the key to success.
What advice do you have for those who are thinking about a similar career to you?
Follow your instincts and try to consider the bigger picture when making decisions.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work
I enjoy running and playing for my Sunday league football team.
What is/would your alternative career be?
Not sure exactly, maybe something in finance or law.
