We’re delighted to announce that our new Charity Partner for 2020-2022 will be JDRF, a Type 1 diabetes charity.
Every two years, CPC support a new corporate charity partner. Following a survey of our individual staff fundraisers, it was clear that organisations supporting children should be the top charity type for us to support.
JDRF was established in 1986 and has funded various projects over the last 34 years to advance research into the causes, prevention, treatment and cure for Type 1 diabetes. This has included oral insulin trials, islet transplants, educational packs for teachers and students, glucose monitoring systems, and a stem cell research centre at the University of Cambridge.
Siobhan Delany, CPC Partner said “JDRF funds really important projects to support the 29,000 children that are currently affected by this autoimmune condition, Type 1 diabetes, in the UK alone.
We will be looking at new and novel ways to fundraise with our staff within the parameters of self-isolation and social distancing and are committed to making sure that we maximise our fundraising efforts in these uncertain times.”
