Paddington Amphitheatre revamp gets the go ahead

Westminster City Council has granted planning permission to redevelop the ‘Amphitheatre’ at Paddington Central, creating a vibrant and accessible arts & events space in the heart of London’s West End.

Paddington Central is an 11-acre mixed use neighbourhood next to London’s Paddington Station and the amphitheatre is at its social and cultural centre.

CPC has been working alongside the project team, as project manager, to oversee this important community scheme on behalf of British Land.

Work now moves on to RIBA Stage 4, to develop the detailed design and when complete, the amphitheatre will provide a more accessible, greener space, showcasing live music, film screening and other events for those living and working in the area, as well as the wider community, as a ‘go-to’ entertainment venue.
