With investment in transport at the forefront of economic growth opportunities in the region, this event provides an opportunity for local businesses and organisations to network, collaborate and discuss the transport agenda and planned developments being delivered over the next 12-18 months in the region.
The next few years will be crucial to the region with Transport for North’s Strategic Transport Plan published in February 2019, setting out the case for investment in the North to 2050 – including Northern Powerhouse Rail, Major Road Network for the North and Integrated and Smart Travel, as key programmes of work.
However, what is happening with our transport infrastructure in the short-term?
Pro-Manchester’s lunch event will be considering the more immediate challenges we face; the plans to improve transport connectivity ahead of the ‘major projects’; and how the local business community can maximize its potential to benefit and support these schemes in the coming months.
It is open to members and non-members with keynote speeches from Network Rail and Highways England, and is hosted by Pro-Manchester’s Sector Group Chair for T&I, Adam Richmond.
