Building magazine published its annual Top 150 consultants league table today, confirming that CPC has retained its position as one of the Top 10 project management consultancies in the UK.
Despite the uncertainty of Brexit, consultancies in the UK have performed well over the last year with turnover up by 12% and employee numbers up by 3.5% to around 75,000.
This demonstrates that consultancies have prepared well for the current market conditions and have been creative in finding new opportunities to continue to grow, despite many clients holding back on making decisions on investment.
However, the future outlook is a concern to the industry with 25% feeling pessimistic and only 19% optimistic about the next 12 months, with the pipeline of infrastructure work unclear.
CPC was ranked the 9th largest project management consultancy and achieved a place in the Top 30 consultants overall, for the first time.
Steve Mole, CPC Managing Partner said: “We are proud to be recognised as one of the largest project management consultancies in the UK. We continue to perform well above the average for our industry with 22% growth in the last year and a 9.6% increase in staff numbers. This is due to a robust strategy, good leadership, and the agility and creativity to seek out more opportunities within new and existing markets.
I am cautiously optimistic about the upcoming 12 months where we are predicting to continue our current growth rate through the passion and commitment of our people to deliver successful projects for our clients”
