Build your career. Shape our growth. Deliver commercial value that matters.

This is more than your standard commercial management opportunity. It’s a chance to work alongside talented people, take on exciting challenges and develop your career within a business that’s growing and investing in its future.

CPC is expanding its Commercial Services capability within our stellar Transport & Infrastructure sector, across Leeds, Yorkshire and the wider North, creating opportunities for ambitious Commercial Management professionals who want to be part of that growth and help shape what comes next.

We’re recruiting at Assistant Commercial Manager, Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Manager level. Whether you’re building your commercial experience, ready to take ownership of larger and more complex commissions or looking for a senior role where you can shape clients and teams, there could be a place for you here.

You’ll work across some of the region’s most significant infrastructure programmes – highways, rail, transportation, local authority infrastructure and major capital schemes – with major clients, supporting commercial delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

But it’s not just the breadth of projects that sets this apart. You’ll be joining a growing, people-focused business where talented people are given real responsibility early, backed by leaders who are genuinely invested in helping them succeed.

What could you be doing?

Working as part of our growing Yorkshire team, you’ll also support projects across the wider North region.

Depending on your experience, you could be:

  • Supporting or leading the commercial management of complex infrastructure projects and programmes.
  • Working directly with clients, delivery partners, consultants and contractors.
  • Managing cost, contracts, change, risk and commercial performance.
  • Supporting procurement and the development of commercial and contracting strategies.
  • Managing valuations, payments, forecasting, change control and final accounts.
  • Working within NEC and other collaborative contracting environments.
  • Providing clear commercial reporting and insight to support effective decision-making.
  • Building strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Helping grow our Commercial Services capability across the North.

At Senior Commercial Manager level, you’ll take greater ownership of complex commissions, commercial performance, client relationships and teams, while helping to develop others.

Experience we are looking for

We’re interested in commercially astute people who know how to deliver value and strong outcomes in complex project environments.

Your commercial management background will be in transport, highways, rail, local authority, public sector, infrastructure or major capital programmes, with recent relevant exposure to delivering within these sectors. You will have experience across commercial management, cost management, procurement, contract management, change or broader commercial delivery.

Experience of NEC contracts, including compensation events, change management, forecasting and commercial reporting, would be particularly valuable.

Technical and commercial experience matters, but so does how you work. We’re looking for people who are collaborative, proactive and commercially aware, communicate well, build trust, and have the confidence to challenge constructively when it leads to better outcomes.

For our senior roles, we’ll also be looking for experience leading complex commissions, developing people and client relationships, providing commercial leadership and contributing to business growth.

Relevant professional qualifications or progress towards chartership would be advantageous but aren’t essential.
