Largest event for Young Rail Professionals launched

One of the largest black-tie events in the rail calendar, specifically for young professionals, is being launched today.

Organised by Young Rail Professionals (YRP), the dinner and awards ceremony will take place on 11 April 2019 at The Brewery, the prestigious former Whitbread brewery in the City of London. The event celebrates the role of YRP’s network and its members to ensure the future of rail, as one of the most important economic enablers.

The event is once again supported by CPC Project Services with Ruth Hannant, Director General – Rail Group, at the Department for Transport, delivering a keynote speech at the event as well as many other prominent industry leaders lined up for live interviews during the evening.

“This year we have planned a few new features that will make the event more interactive, engaging and overall more fun,” Christos Mexias, Young Rail Professionals Chair of London and Southeast said. “This is an important event for all of us working in the rail industry as it allows us to expand our professional network and engage with young talent from across the country.”

Steve Mole, CPC’s Managing Partner said: “We are proud to be sponsoring YRP’s Annual Dinner for the eighth consecutive year, in 2019.  As a long-term supporter of YRP, we continue to be inspired by the commitment shown by the volunteers at YRP.  Their regional branches, across the UK, work tirelessly to bring new talent to the industry and help young professionals as they develop their careers in rail. We look forward to celebrating the achievements that have been made over the past year at this key event in the UK rail calendar”
