This £55m development is a joint project which will develop land in what is a sensitive heritage area of North Oxford. The aim is to create a vibrant academic community consisting of graduate accommodation provided within multi functional buildings that anchor the community and serve many purposes. Additionally, the project includes the development of two departmental buildings for the Social Sciences Division, as the location provides a strong synergy between adjacent departments and groups.

When complete, the development in Winchester Road, will provide a mixture of social spaces to create a “community not dormitory” feel, which will be conducive to a pleasing environment for learning and education.

The scheme will improve the overall quality of the space in and around existing buildings by enhancing the heritage assets on the site and improving landscaping both within the core and perimeter of the site.
