Originally constructed in circa 1730, this Grade II listed building was being remodelled and modernised to convert the self contained office space into residential accommodation.
The conversation of the 8,000 sq ft, six-storey building would be transformed into two luxury single family dwellings. CPC were appointed to provide project management, cost management and employer’s agent services throughout the design & build contract, including reporting to two seperate external funders.

Works consisted of full renovation of mechanical and electrical services, improvement of the building condition, installation of a new lift and shaft, renovation of the existing mansard roof and installation of new sash windows to match the existing profile.
Due to the targeted housing market for this project a high standard was set in relation to the expected finishing quality.
CPC took a leading role in ensuring this quality standard was achieved through close monitoring of the specialist heritage supply chain and the design & construction team.
Requirements from the warranty provider were seamlessly integrated within the Employers Requirements with minimal impact on the existing project budget.
Regular meetings were held with key project stakeholders from pre-contract stage onwards to ensure all requirements were integrated within the tender documents and that all changes to the scope were recorded and analysed within our change control register. This enabled better and more efficient decision making for the client and their funders who were fully aware of the implications of any change to the project scope in terms of time, quality and cost.
