CPC raises over £4,500 for Make-A-Wish UK

CPC Project Services (CPC) staff gathered together for their annual Winter Party in February – to celebrate the last 12 months’ achievements and to fundraise for CPC’s Charity Partner, Make-A-Wish UK. Three raffle prizes were donated by CPC, and there was some light-hearted competition between the dinner tables to raise as much money as possible.

It took a few weeks to count all the money, collect the IOUs and total the money donated on CPC’s JustGiving page, but on 13th March 2019, CPC received a letter from Make-A-Wish UK confirming that the final amount received was £4,565.00, the largest amount raised in a single CPC event.

The money raised will go towards the cost of a granting a ‘Visit to Lapland’ wish for seriously ill children and their families that are being supported by Make-A-Wish UK, at the end of 2019.

Siobhan Delany, HR Partner and CPC’s Charity Co-ordinator, said “CPC provide a fantastic event for staff and their partners every year and it is a perfect opportunity for us to raise awareness and as much money as we can for our charity partner, Make-A-Wish UK”

CPC continues its fundraising efforts and will be taking part in team challenges for Make-A-Wish including the Peak District Challenge on 13/14 July and Thames Bridges Trek on 7 September.
