CPC appoints Chris Lavery to boost North West
CPC has appointed a new Partner, Chris Lavery, to help drive opportunities across the North West in private and public sectors for transport, education, housing, commercial, healthcare and science & technology.
Chris has over 30 years’ experience in the project management industry holding senior positions including executive and non-executive level for RPS, Your Housing Group, George Osborne’s Northern Powerhouse Partnership, KBR, Mouchel and Hornagold and Hills
Chris has held Managing Director positions for Joint Ventures (JV) with Liverpool City Council, Knowsley MBC and Rochdale Council, winning Municipal Journal’s PPP of the year award for the JV between Rochdale Council and Mouchel.
With a Masters in Project Management and member of CIOB, Chris has led major, ‘ground-breaking’ projects due to their scale, innovative funding approaches and transformational nature, and hosted a ‘Building Sustainably’ Podcast Series in 2022 with RPS. Some of his most notable projects have included:
• MOD’s MFTS (Military Flight Training System);
• Establishing the NHS LIFT programme (Local Improvement Finance Trust);
• Design-Build-Finance-Operate (DBFO) contracts for sections of the A1(M); and;
• £60m redevelopment of St Helens College’s Estate from initial feasibility and business case to design and construction
