Jeddah Airport Design Management

Areen is delivering the design, procurement and fit-out of the airport complex and associated operational buildings at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Saudi Arabia, which is expected to serve 30 million passengers a year.

The airport facilities include an airside hotel, four airport lounges, retail areas, a mosque and a transport hub with a railway station.

CPC Role

Due to the size and complexity of the project, CPC was asked to provide project and design management advice for the design, procurement and fit-out of the interior finishes at the airport.

Following our evaluation of the project’s current status, we was able to develop a suite of appropriate project controls and a robust project programme (P6) based on contractual requirements, resource allocation and logical sequencing. 

Our consultants collaborated with the client’s management team to enhance the current design working practices and improve resource productivity and accountability.

The complex P6 programme, produced and maintained by CPC, was adopted by the main contractor, SBG, with efficient and transparent progress reporting systems adding value for all stakeholders.
