CPC was appointed to assemble a composite team of consultants providing programme and project management services on the Northern Line Extension (NLE), including the role of programme manager, project planner and a team to lead the procurement of the main works contract.
We were pivotal in developing the delivery strategy for the NLE to progress the scheme from Concept Design (RIBA C) through to the award of a main works Design and Build contract. Our team developed a new organisation structure for the programme delivery team, as well as supporting the client in preparing executive papers seeking financial authority for the £1Bn scheme.
We managed the technical dialogue with the shortlisted contractors during the tender process, conducting a thorough evaluation recommending the preferred bidder. Our recommendations were ratified by the TfL Board, without challenge from the unsuccessful bidders.
