CPC supports the Future of Rail Signalling Conference
27 November 2014
CPC is pleased to announce that it is a supporting partner at the upcoming Future of Rail Signalling Conference on 18 March 2015 in London.
The programme will discuss the key issues and challenges associated with the transition to the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS), a major change to the UK’s rail network that will bring signalling from the ‘on-the-track’ to ‘on-the-train’ over the next 30 years.
CPC’s Andy Norris is Project Director of the European Train Control System (ETCS) roll-out programme on behalf of the rolling stock companies. He will be speaking about his experiences in preparing for ETCS fitment over the last 18 months, and the key considerations for the programme, including franchising and staff training, as well as how stakeholders and competitors are working together to deliver workable solutions.
“The introduction of ERTMS is a major transformation for the rail industry and we need to make sure that we are prepared for the change” affirms Andy Norris, CPC Partner “This conference will provide the latest updates from those at the heart of delivering the future of rail signalling in the UK.”
