Plans submitted for Higgs Centre for Innovation
2 October 2014
A planning application has been submitted to Edinburgh Council for consent to build the Higgs Centre for Innovation at the UK Astronomy Technology Centre’s Royal Observatory.
In partnership with the University of Edinburgh, the Centre will focus on space and big data technologies and will facilitate research students and small businesses to bridge the gap between scientific innovation and commercial expertise, bringing both economic and societal benefits to the UK.
In CPC is providing project and cost management consultancy support and has lead the planning and design teams to achieve this significant milestone in the delivery programme.
In Jamie Marshall, CPC's Project Manager said "Over the past six months, we have been committed to driving this project forward. We have been working in partnership with the Science and Technology Facilities Council and the University of Edinburgh to develop the best design and planning for a facility that meets the needs of students and entrepreneurs alike".
