CPC sponsors Young Rail Professionals Annual Dinner
31 March 2014
The CPC-sponsored Young Rail Professionals (YRP) Annual Dinner took place on Friday 28 March and was a great success. The sell-out event saw over 500 rail professionals networking with their industry colleagues.
Mike Brown, Managing Director of London Underground made the evening’s keynote speech and reinforced the YRP’s key vision to bring new, energetic, and dynamic talent into the rail industry.
CPC hosted an Ambassador’s table during the evening which consisted of graduates and undergraduates that CPC had invited from universities across the UK.
CPC has been building its associations with universities over the last year with guest lectures, career workshops, work placements, apprenticeships and partner arrangements to demonstrate the breadth of opportunities that are available to young people.
Steve Mole, CPC Managing Director said “We were proud to be the headline sponsor for the YRP annual dinner for a second-year running. It was a great forum for us to demonstrate not only the possibilities available for new talent within rail, but also the range of specialist disciplines, such as project management, that the market needs right now to deliver its infrastructure and investment programmes”.
