Inspiring our future leaders30 April 2015
CPC was very proud, once again, to be the platinum sponsor at the 2015 Young Rail Professionals (YRP) Annual Dinner, where 490 YRP members attended the sell-out black-tie event in London.
Since its formation in 2009, the YRP has gone from strength to strength with its membership doubling to 2383 members in the past 12 months, primarily due to regional expansion across the UK.
This was CPC’s 3rd consecutive year of sponsoring this event and it was a huge privilege for me personally to introduce the key note speaker and Chief Executive of HS2, Simon Kirby. Simon spoke eloquently about the challenges faced by his team and the need for upcoming talent and leaders at the event and across the UK to embrace HS2 and consider a career either directly or indirectly via the extensive supply chain that is currently mobilising, creating circa 10,000 jobs over the 15 year programme.
CPC's sponsorship of the YRP is at the heart of our corporate objective to recruit and develop young people into the future leaders of our business, and trusted advisors in the rail industry. In sponsoring the YRP we are also fulfilling another key objective to raise the profile of CPC and create a strong brand in the market place. As we continue to grow and expand we are moving ever closer to our vision of being recognised as the best independent project management consultancy in the UK.
