CPC signs Armed Forces Covenant

CPC Project Services (CPC) has officially signed a declaration to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant at Honourable Artillery Company (HAC)’s home at Finsbury Barracks in London.

The Armed Forces Covenant is designed to ensure that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated with fairness and respect within their communities, economy, and wider society.

CPC has already created a new veteran’s network, known as ‘Beyond Service’, made up of staff members connected to the Armed Forces who are passionate about CPC’s active participation as an Armed Forces-friendly organisation.

CPC’s pledge will include:

  • Promoting its commitment as an Armed Forces friendly organisation
  • Supporting the recruitment of service leavers
  • Providing an inclusive work environment for veterans, reservists and volunteers
  • Recognising key national events for Armed Forces
  • Fundraising in support of Armed Forces charities

The declaration was signed by Major Matthew Cahill, on behalf of the Armed Forces and Steve Mole, CPC’s Managing Partner in the HAC’s Medal Room. The event was facilitated by Jack Parry, Defence Relationship Manager at the Greater London Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (GL RFCA) and witnessed by representatives from CPC’s veterans network, People and Culture team, Social Value team and CPC’s Board.

Major Cahill, Armed Forces Representative said: “There are currently 13,319 signatures to the Armed Forces Covenant.  CPC are joining a powerful coalition of organisations across the UK in supporting the Services community. Our service personnel are made up of highly motivated individuals trained in challenging environments, experienced in leadership, and adapting to change. These are highly valuable and transferable skills that will boost the strength of any business. So, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, I’d like to thank CPC for making a clear statement about the high value it places on military services in this country”.

Steve Mole, Managing Partner, CPC Project Services said: “I’m extremely proud to be able to pledge our commitment to the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant. We understand the exceptional value that veteran’s skills and experience can bring to us as a project management consultancy. Our culture, values and behaviours are very much aligned with those of the military, which should make for a seamless transition for a new career. As a business, we look forward to working with the Armed Forces Career Transition Partnership and to promote CPC as an Armed Forces friendly organisation”.
