Charles was appointed to the CPC Board in January 2012.
He has more than 20 years of international senior management in the property and construction industries.
His independence and experience leading businesses on the FTSE and for VCs in different sectors has influenced the shaping of CPC's strategy, business processes and disciplines during the company's far- reaching restructuring programme.
Before joining the Board Charles was Managing Director of Arlington's (now Goodman) European Property Services where his responsibilities included delivering property, facilities management and IT services to a £8 billion portfolio in 8 countries in Europe.
Before that, he was CEO for 4 years of a New York based, VC backed Internet Service Provider (ISP), IntelliSpace, which provided internet services to many of US and UK's largest property companies.
He was Group Managing Director of Morgan Lovell for seven years where he transformed the company from being a regional design and build contractor to one of UK's leading workplace specialists.
After leaving school in South Africa, Charles graduated from The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and joined the British army for 10 years. He served in many parts of the world including Europe, Central America, the Middle East and UK and retired as a major.
His hobbies include most outdoor pursuits which have included leading and participating in many large scale expeditions to the Geographic North Pole and to most mountain ranges in the world.
